Why go to conferences? #NicheParent13

TheParentNicheBadge_Lets_go

Let me tell you that before attending my first conference I didn’t see the point. Why travel and mix with people I didn’t know? What did I have in common? Writing? Blogging? How could this help me?

Well, it was miraculous. My first experience was Blogalicios12 in Las Vegas where I met amazing people whom I already had met on-line. My second was Hispanizice13, another amazing experience!

Why go to conferences? The the conferences were all aimed at meeting, engaging and learning, not only about social media and how to make money, but reaching people and sending out a personal message.

I am a teacher and a blogger and these conferences have helped me in both careers. Learning how to reach people, get them interested and making yourself known in the Social Media world. Everyone has a voice and something teach.

The connections I’ve made have helped me advance, travel to unexpected places like St. Augustine, become motivated in all areas of my life and career. In time, no matter what career you choose, having an on-line presence will help you get a job, show the word your skills and help others. On-line friends will go from virtual to personal. I have made many friends I would have never been able to meet in the real everyday world, hadn’t it been for social media and attending conferences.

I’m not a mom, but I’m an aunt and I teach children and adults. I write about lifestyle, beauty, relationships and I see #Nicheparent13 as another opportunity to learn from the best speakers! The on-line gurus who know the ins and outs and share their wisdom and expertise everyday through social media platforms.

NicheParent13 is not only for parents but an oportunity to make new friends, connections and become part of the social media world. It’s here to stay, so get on the waggon and enjoy the personal and enriching experience of classes, I like to call them, that you won’t get in any school. This is the school of our new on-line life!
